We are remounting our production of Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment for a mid-scale tour opening in March 2027, building on the studio tour in 2026.
Adapted and directed by Laurie Sansom, this production will have the brand-Broadsides stamp of a bold, playful take on a classic novel, whilst leaning into the modern relevance of a psychological thriller and themes of social inequality, isolation and mental health in young men.
We’re looking for a Company Stage Manager, Deputy Stage Manager and Technical Manager to join us on our Spring 2027 tour.
We want our company to reflect the diversity of the places and people we work with. We welcome applications from people who are currently under-represented in theatre.

Casting
We work on a project-by-project basis with Casting Directors, who will ask for agent submissions via Spotlight. Occasionally we host open / general auditions in advance of a tour. It is best to follow us on social media to find out when these are coming up.
Script submissions
We’re currently unable to accept or develop script submissions due to our resources and programming at this time. Keep an eye out for opportunities to engage with us through our annual short-story writing competition, Winter Tales, or our playwriting project, Life in a Northern Town.
