SUPPORT NORTHERN BROADSIDES
YOUR DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
You may already know Northern Broadsides is a registered charity. What you may not know is that our funding, (from tickets sales and an Arts Council England grant), only covers 75% of annual costs. We rely on you – friends, donors, businesses, trusts and foundations to fulfil our mission.
Since 1992, we’ve created a strong and distinctive brand focused on innovation, centred on championing the North and making Shakespeare and classic texts accessible to all.
Productions reflect our northern roots. They include new writing and adaptations from acclaimed authors with national appeal for current and future generations to enjoy. We also support ‘home-grown’ artists and makers – nurturing their creative energies, ideas and interpretations in bringing work from page to stage. The result? Crystal clear, brilliant, entertaining theatre.
“Another demonstration that Northern Broadsides can bring Shakespeare to life as gripping, accessible theatre for today simply by making the words sing” – The Guardian
WHAT YOUR DONATION CAN DO:
£10 a month can help fund the creation of a school education pack for a touring production
A £150 donation can help provide rehearsal space, equipment and career mentoring for a young emerging artist to develop exciting new work for audiences
A £1,500 gift will enable us to deliver a school education workshop for a Northern Broadsides touring show.
You can help us by setting up a monthly donation via this standing order form

HOW TO MAKE A DONATION
Click here to make a one-off or regular donation. All of the money you give goes directly back into delivering projects. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can also Gift Aid your support, so for every pound you give, Northern Broadsides can claim back 25% in tax. This increases our income and helps us reach more people with our work.
Remember Northern Broadsides in your will
Giving to charity in your will can ensure our work continues for future generations to enjoy. Leaving a legacy is tax-free, so it costs nothing during your lifetime. We always suggest you speak to a solicitor about the range of options available to you when making or updating your will.
Make Northern Broadsides the beneficiary of a loved one
Respecting and remembering a loved one is often a priority for family and friends. Some families choose to honour a family member by setting up a memorial fund in their name. Other people ask friends and relatives to make a gift to charity instead of sending funeral flowers.
If you would like to discuss leaving a legacy or making a fitting tribute for a cherished relative or friend for whom supporting the arts was a big part of their life, please contact Pamela in confidence. Call 01422 369704 or email email@example.com to find out how to make this happen.
